About
Have I Played a DotA Pro? tells you whether you have ever been in a Dota 2 match with a professional player, and how those games went. It is a fan project, inspired by samelobby.gg for CS2.
How it works
- You enter your account. Your browser asks OpenDota which players you have shared matches with.
- Those players are compared with our list of pros. For every pro found, your browser loads the matches you shared with them from both sides.
- From that we show the result, both heroes, both KDAs, and whether you were in the same lane.
The scan runs in your browser. We run no server that receives your account or results.
Who counts as a pro?
- Top tier: at least 60 matches in OpenDota's "premium" tournament tier, and listed as a pro by OpenDota.
- Pro (other): flagged as a pro by OpenDota but with a smaller tournament record.
The list is rebuilt from OpenDota data and is not perfect. Some real pros are missing and some listed accounts may be inactive.
Limits
- Public data only. Both you and the pro must have "Expose public match data" on. Pros who hide their data cannot appear.
- Alt accounts. We only know the accounts OpenDota links to a pro. A pro on an unlisted smurf won't show up.
- Long histories. OpenDota lists only your 200 most frequent co-players, so a pro you met once or twice may be missing if you have thousands of games. The page tells you when this applies.
- Lanes. Lane data exists only for matches whose replay OpenDota has parsed (roughly 60% in our tests). Others show "unknown".
- Request limits. OpenDota limits how many requests one connection can make per minute and per day. Very heavy accounts can take a few minutes to scan.
